A critical structure in the production process at a mine site is the haul road, which is why geocell for mining roads matters. The subgrade structure of a haul road must be strong and able to support the moving loads that travel over it.
Heavy loads coming in and out, around 160 tons, combined with inadequate subgrade often damage mine access roads, for example through uneven settlement that results in rutting, or wheel ruts.

To overcome this problem, the soil should be reinforced using a stabilization mechanism. The basic theory of this mechanism is to spread the wheel loads acting on the road pavement. The geosynthetic material used as reinforcement in mine access road construction can be Geocell.
