DWC Pipe Joining with a Join Tracker

DWC Pipe Joining with a Join Tracker

DWC pipe joining using a Join Tracker is a common method for creating a strong, secure connection between double-wall corrugated (DWC) pipes. The following are the general steps for joining DWC pipes with a Join Tracker:

1. Preparing Tools and Materials:

    • DWC pipes to be joined.
    • Join Tracker (pipe extraction tool).
    • Joint rubber (gasket/rubber ring).
    • Special pipe lubricant.
    • Supporting tools such as wrenches and brackets.

2. Preparing the Pipes:

    • Make sure both ends of the pipes to be joined are free of dirt, dust and other particles.
    • Check the condition of the pipes to make sure there is no damage that could affect the joint.

3. Fitting the Rubber Gasket:

    • Fit the rubber gasket to the end of the first pipe. Check that the gasket is seated correctly and is not bent.

4. Lubrication:

    • Apply lubricant to the rubber gasket and the end of the second pipe to make joining easier and reduce friction.

5. Installing the Join Tracker:

    • Attach the Join Tracker to the pipes being connected. Make sure it is fitted firmly and securely.
    • A Join Tracker generally has a pulling mechanism that draws the second pipe into the first pipe, which is fitted with a rubber gasket.

6. DWC Pipe Joining:

    • Operate the Join Tracker slowly to pull the second pipe into the rubber gasket on the first pipe.
    • Pull slowly and continuously until the second pipe is fully inserted into the first pipe and the rubber gasket is in the correct position.

7. Inspection:

    • After joining, inspect the joint again to make sure there are no gaps or leaks.
    • Check that the rubber gasket is in the correct position and is not bent.

8. Securing the Joint:

    • If necessary, place a clamp or cable tie around the joint so it remains secure and does not come apart easily.
    • Make sure the joint is completely secure before carefully removing the Join Tracker.

This joining method using a Join Tracker is highly effective, especially for projects that require large-diameter pipes or strong permanent joints. Always follow safety instructions during the joining process to avoid injury or damage to the pipes.
